Dialogue between a painter and a photographer

Joëlle Kem Lika, painter

Our planet is defending itself, exploses with life... and questions us...
It is no longer possible to behave like an ostrich, we must pick a side,
those who continue to destroy and those who build, question themselves, and above all change...
their daily lives, their life styles...
Since the "flower power" in the late sixties... we could have changed the world, but it hasn't been easy.
The planet is rebelling. Its strength, its beauty can help us with this change that is vital for humanity.

"To be or not te be, is that the question ?"

It is the meaning I give to my paintings, to remind that we can change everything thanks to our life pulse, in echo with earth's.

Acrylic paint on linen canvas, plexiglass, ink on Yupo paper.

Philip Provily, photographer

After working for a couple of years on a series on parisian light, I have discovered landscape photography... Colour and black and white pictures that I have taken in Sainte Vertu, Burgundy, near Chablis.
Several photo hikes... I am touched by light, playful shadow and light effects, nature when it wakes up in the morning and explodes in the evening... I love its sweetness and charming colours, its peacefulness...
A great gift that nature offers every day... at every moment. How can one not love it ???

For my pictures I always use natural light, which I adore. Both pictures that may tell a small story and sometimes a more abstract style.
